![]() ![]() Next is the school, Yancy Academy, the first school in the series that Percy goes to. Percy isn't even the worst! Grover (12-13 in the book) is 25 in the film! The actors would get too old and they would need to find new ones. If the Percy Jackson & the Olympians were to become popular enough to have lots of films in the series then there would be huge problems. It was probably to do with acting ability. Big problems already, Chris Columbus obviously thought.something. Why is this anything to do with Percy Jackson? In the books Percy is 12, the actor, Logan Lerman, is 17 (at the time of filming). The actors in Harry Potter were perfect they grew up as the films grew up. I like this film and despite many critics saying that he did not make enough changes from the books it was generally well scored. So first is the age of the actors, Chris Columbus was the director of the first in the Harry Potter series, the Philosophers/Sorcerer's stone. I was to be disappointed.īad Points: I'm guessing that this list is going to be longer than the good points list (most bad points are just things that I thought were needlessly changed from the original book). I have been reading the Percy Jackson series for some time so when I decided to try the film I was quite excited. I was a bit worried it would be too scary for the wee one and actually put it off after the minotaur roared onto the scene but he didn't seem scared and was so desperate to see more I let him, while observing for any signs of worry but he was completely fine. They really really enjoyed this and I'm glad I bought it not rented it as its been watched about 5 times in the last week already and I have the wee one harassing me about watching it again just now. ![]() I liked the bit where Percy Jackson took the trident in his hand and then he was standing with the trident like this and said 'I think I am the son of Poseidon' and threw it at Luke and Luke fell backwards into the sea and then Percy Jackson went over to Olympus and gave the lightening bolt to Zeus. I liked Percy because he acted so casual about all the extraordinary stuff that happened to him. I liked the way it had humour in it and I thought it was interesting that they took the old greek myths and made them modern like when Percy looked at Medusa's reflection in his phone.
